Welcome to HRBC

A Place Dedicated to the Glory of God

Since 1999, we have gathered as a family around the Word of God.

Heritage Reformed Baptist Church began as a Sunday evening Bible study in 1999 with a few families who were interested in being part of a confessional Baptist church in the Akron/Canton area. By God’s grace, the church was formally constituted in February 2002 with 17 members, having received assistance from a Reformed Baptist church in Michigan.

We are a congregation of ordinary people who have been seized by an extraordinary gospel. We gather weekly to worship the triune God, sit under the preaching of His Word, share in the sacraments, and encourage one another in the faith.

For First-Time Visitors

What to Expect When You Visit

We want your first visit to feel like coming home.

01

Reverent Worship

Our services feature the singing of psalms and hymns, Scripture readings, corporate prayer, and expository preaching. Worship is reverent but not cold — we gather as a family before a holy and gracious God.

02

Warm Fellowship

You will be welcomed by real people who are genuinely glad you are there. After the service, we encourage you to stay for fellowship at our common meal every Sunday after the service. Our congregation spans all ages, from young families to retirees.

03

Biblical Preaching

Each week, our pastor preaches expositionally through books of the Bible. We believe the faithful, systematic exposition of Scripture is the central act of corporate worship.

Sola Fide

Our Doctrine

We are Christians. We are Reformed. We are Baptist.

We stand in the great tradition of Reformed Baptist churches, holding the doctrines of grace with conviction and proclaiming them with joy.

Scripture Alone

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word of God — our only supreme authority for faith and practice.

The Gospel of Grace

Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone — God freely justifying sinners for His own glory.

Believers’ Baptism

Baptism is a covenant sign for professing believers, administered by immersion upon a credible confession of faith in Christ.

Confessional Baptist

We hold the 1689 London Baptist Confession as a faithful summary of what the Scriptures teach.
